We have 2 different routes for our competitive gymnasts at Twisters.
Our WAG Programme is for all children with an extra competitive edge, working their way up through British gymnastics grades.
We also have a General Gymnastics squad, who attend competitions for the club at a lower level.
Women’s artistic gymnastics remains one of the biggest crowd pleasers and most watched sport throughout the Olympic games. The gymnasts compete on all 4 pieces of apparatus including Floor, Vault, Bars and Beam. With the addition of Range and Conditioning throughout grades.
It’s fascination and popularity amongst girls of all ages lies in its ability to provide constant challenge and teach body control, coordination, amplitude and courage. All pieces require a high level of strength, conditioning and endurance but also with a touch of elegance and grace.
Gymnastics at this level is not for every child, and our coaches have the experience to assess the suitability of your child for this level. If we feel that your child may be suitable for this programme, you will be spoken to or emailed by a member of staff. If you feel your child may possess the necessary skills for competitive gymnastics but you have not been approached, Please email Louisa@twistersgymnasticsclub.com.
Membership into our squad requires a strong commitment from both parent and gymnast and is by invitation only. Our squad gymnasts are aged from 4+ years and train between 2-20 hours a week.
We have a wide range of groups and pathways for each individual gymnast. And we hold trials roughly every 6 months.
