Our Story
2015 – Amy’s Acro
In 2015, Amy’s Acro was born, fueled by a passion for gymnastics and a bold decision to leave a career in science teaching. With unwavering dedication, we embarked on a journey that would forever change the lives of young athletes in our community.
From humble beginnings, we quickly grew, touching the hearts of nearly 500 children across more than 10 local primary and secondary schools.

2019 – Twisters Gymnastics Club
The year 2019 marked the inception of Twisters Gymnastics Club, an extension of our vision. We aimed not only to train gymnasts for competitions but also to infuse the art of trampolining and dance into the world of gymnastics.
Our commitment to excellence drove us to push boundaries and set new standards.

2020 – Adapting to Unprecedented Times
As 2020 unfolded, the world faced unprecedented challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic. Undeterred, we adapted to the new normal by providing Zoom lessons during the lockdown periods.
When restrictions lifted during the summer holidays, we opened a temporary gym in a marquee in Brampton.

2021 – A New Era Begins at Perry
In 2021, we took a monumental step forward. With the support of Michelle, we unveiled our brand-new, modern facility in Perry, equipped with Olympic-standard Gymnova equipment.
Nestled in a picturesque rural setting, this facility became the embodiment of our commitment to excellence in gymnastics.

January 2022 – A Growing Team
In January 2022, Izzy Reuter officially joined us full-time after years of dedicated service in a temporary/part-time role since 2016. Her leadership would guide Amy’s Acro & Preschool into a bright future.
Later in the year, in November, we welcomed Louisa Cuthbert, who left her well-established club in Milton Keynes for a new challenge. She embarked on the journey of creating and leading Women’s Artistic Squads, while also introducing a popular Adult gymnastics program.

2023 – A Flavorful Addition
The year 2023 brought yet another exciting development as we opened a cafe, becoming a hub for gymnasts and their families to connect and refuel. With this expansion, our team grew to include 6 full-time coaching staff, each dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering a love for gymnastics.
Our diverse staff now cover a wide range of offerings, including Amy’s Acro sessions in local primary schools, preschool sessions at Perry for ages 2-4, general gymnastics for ages 4 and up, competitive gymnastics at various levels from age 4, and specialist classes in Tumble, Trampoline, and Dance for ages 7 and above. We also proudly offer adult training for those aged 18 and beyond.
