Amy Day
Founder and CEO
Amy comes with a plethora of experience, she gained a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Nottingham University and went on to do her PGCE in Science teaching. She taught secondary school science for 7 yrs and then launched Twisters.
Amy is a highly accomplished gymnast and competed at County, Regional and National Level. Furthermore, she competed Nationally for the University trampoline league during her studies.
She holds qualifications in First Aid, Level 1,2,3 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics and Level 2 Trampolining. She now enjoys the rigor of overseeing and leading quality gymnastics provision for all abilities here at Twisters.
Michelle Trewin
Director and COO
Michelle is a secondary school PE & Dance teacher and taught for 23yrs.
She has a passion for all sports, but Gymnastics is where is all began in 1985. She competed at county and regional level and later at University, won National titles in the Sports Acrobatics league.
Michelle’s skill set lies in all things Gymnastics, Trampolining & Dance as well as the organising of children in a sport setting.
Qualifications include, BA(Hons) QTS in Physical Education and Dance, First Aid, Level 1 and 2 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics, Level 2 Trampolining.
Louisa Cuthbert
Head of Performance
Louisa came on board to launch our WAG programme. She comes with 10 years’ worth of coaching experience in Gymnastics.
Louisa has coached Regional, National & Elite standard gymnasts, with her gymnasts notably winning several medals at the 2022 elite compulsory grades.
She is looking forward to starting and growing Twisters’ new WAG programme from scratch and developing opportunities for gymnasts to excel.
Louisa holds the following qualifications; First Aid, Level 1,2 and 3 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics Coach.
Izzy Reuter
Head of Amy’s Acro
Izzy has been working for Twisters and its’ parent club Amy’s Acro since its’ conception and launch in 2016.
She is the stalwart of the admin side of things at Twisters, our Lead Preschool Coach for ages 2-3, coaches various Recreational and Squad groups and is our Welfare Officer.
Izzy loves interacting with the parent body and gymnasts alike and due to her sharp organisational skills, Izzy can normally answer any query and solve any problem!
She holds qualifications in First Aid, Pre-School, Level 1 and 2 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics and Level 1 Acro.
Kyla Howton
Lead National Pathway & Specialist Coach
Kyla has joined us to work within our Women’s artistic program and head up the national pathway. As well as leading our specialist classes including Synergy and Tumble disciplines. Kyla is also our Lead Preschool Coach for ages 3-4 years.
Kyla has been a coach for 10+ years and has worked with preschool age children all the way to elite standard gymnasts.
Kyla’s hard work has shown through her gymnasts who have won several medals at national, regional and club grades. As well as coaching, Kyla is a club judge and aspiring to complete her regional judge qualification.
Qualifications include, Women’s artistic level 1,2 and 3 (pending), Preschool, Club Judge and First Aid.
Megan Allis
Coach
Megan has joined Twisters helping to develop our squad classes, becoming the lead coach for both county and regional pathways.
Megan was a gymnast herself and quickly became a coach as volunteer during her younger years. Megan then went on to complete her level 1 WAG qualification and is now completing her level 2 WAG qualification too.
Megan has ambitions to complete her level 3 WAG next year among other disciplines.
Liv Saunderson
Coach
Liv joined us from ‘The Little Gym’ in Cambridge, where she coached for many years.
She is an ex-gymnast herself and still trains in the art form of hoops and aerial skills.
She is keen gym go-er and loves things all fitness.
Liv is proving to be a hit with all the groups she coaches and it is great to have expertise on board at Twisters.
Karen Dear
Welfare Officer
Florence MacLeod
Coach
Florence has been with Twisters since we launched. She loves all things sport and is training to be a PE & Dance teacher at The University of Brighton.
On top of her teaching studies she is an accredited Level 1 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach and has recently gained a cheerleading qualification too.
As a dancer of many years herself, one of Florence’s favourite aspects of coaching is when she gets to show her creative side.
Jessica Bambridge
Coach
Jessica has been with us since we launched our venue in Perry.
She is a year 13 student, studying fashion and textiles in London.
She has a background as an athlete and gymnast herself and now enjoys transferring her enthusiasm on to the next generation. The gymnasts at Twisters love her understanding and kind nature.
Jessica holds a Level 1 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics Qualification.
Leonie Thompson
Coach
Leonie worked for us on a gap year, gained her Level 1 Women’s Artistic Qualification and took it out to work and coach at Camp America.
She is a great member of the team and here at Twisters, she brings her devotion to all things sport and coaching to the fore!
Leonie has worked across all areas of the club, including Pre-School, Recreational classes and squads.
Isobel Watson
Coach
Izzy has been with Twisters since we launched. She is a keen dancer and loves imparting her knowledge with the younger generation.
Izzy works across our recreational and mini squad groups as well as helping to oversee our popular badge scheme at Twisters.
Izzy’s main passion is marketing and web design and she is responsible for our great website here at Twisters, as well as our marketing campaigns and social media presence.
Catherine Miles
Coach
Catherine has been working at Twisters since we launched the club.
She is studying to be a PE teacher at the University of Gloucester and has passed her Level 1 Womens’ Artistic
Gymnastics Qualification.
She enjoys the positive interaction that coaching brings.
Lucy Dickson
Coach
Lucy has been with Twisters since our launch and is a key member of our coaching team.
She works tirelessly with out Thursday and Saturday recreational groups and is an assistant lead coach in our school’s programme.
Lucy’s main passion is dance and her ambition is to head to University to study dance full time.
We are lucky to have her on board so she can share her knowledge and passion for movement with our gymnasts.
Jonathan Trewin
Coach
Jonathan has been with us since the club launched. Initially he was an assistant coach in our primary school settings, but he has been based at Perry for 18 months now, working across all Recreational classes.
The children love his happy demeanour and he works hard to ensure the gymnasts always have a great training session.
He is a keen footballer and ex-recreational gymnast himself. He is off to University to study music, playing trombone, piano and learning DJ skills!
Spencer Trewin
Coach
Spencer assists Twisters when he is home from University.
He has been a member of every sports team school had to offer and is currently his University Hockey Club’s Captain.
He was even an ex-gymnast in his youth and won a general gymnastics’ title!
His main passion is music and this is what he studies at University.
Holly Watts
Coach
Holly is a 6th form student, with a passion for Sport and Science.
She balances her all her academics alongside her extra curricular activities and her role here at Twisters.
Holly has been with us for a year and the children love being in her group, as she is so patient, attentive and fun.
Moria Howard
Coach
Moria has been coaching with us for over a year.
She is passionate about all sport, particularly Gymnastics and Athletics, indeed in Athletics she is currently ranked 3rd in England for triple jump, jumping 11.45m!
She wants to be a professional coach as a career, so we feel lucky to have her on board here at Twisters.
Emily Durose
Coach
Emily has been a coach at Twisters since March and is keen to undertake her Level 1 Womens’ Artistic Gymnastics Qualification.
Her favourite thing about working at Twisters is learning to support the gymnasts and to develop their skills.
Isla Higham
Coach
Isla is a 6th form student and her main hobby is dance and choreographing.
Isla was a former gymnast of ours and it is therefore even more special to have her on board for coaching now.
Isla is so engaging and supportive of all our young gymnasts.

Layla is another all round sportswomen, specialising in Dance.
The gymnasts love working with Layla for her kind, approachable demeanour.
Many of our gymnasts know Layla from their own dance schools, so it is great she has such a community link. We feel lucky to have her on board.
Grace Spiller

Karolina Bartczak
Coach
Karolina is another ex-gymnast herself and uses that skill set to help with her recreational groups on Wednesday and Sundays.
She is keen to get her Level 1 in coaching and hopes to pursue a career in the sport of Gymnastics.
The gymnasts really respond well to Karolina’s coaching and easy going manner.
